LOGISTICS 

Nestled in the Karas Region, the nearest International Airport is Hosea Kutako Airport. Windhoek or Walvis Bay are a 5 hour drive. The nearest Private Hospital and any other suppliers from Set are accessible either in Windhoek or Walvis Bay on a tarmac road & gravel road travel terrain. 

TRAVEL TERRAIN & TRANSPORT: 

Deadvlei is accessible with heavy 4 wheel drive sand terrain, 4 wheel drive vehicles are required. National Park / Private Location National Park Authority is required from the Ministry of Environment & Tourism. The park is identified as the Namib Naukluft, and the National Park Location Permission Application: Ministry of Environment & Tourism Permit Application Time: 2 weeks+

RESTRICTIONS 

No entry to the park before sunrise, and must leave the park before sunset. Exception given to crew to enter / leave the park outside these limits if all crew and cast are accommodated at Sossus Dune Lodge. Which offers limited accommodation. No animals allowed. No drone filming allowed and it takes 1.5km to walk into Deadvlei as there are no vehicles allowed to drive inside. Therefore all equipment, water, meals, etc. must be carried into Deadvlei by foot.
